Vertical stratification of vegetation community means community of plants assemblages from the soil surface or ground surface to the uppermost forest canopy. The different strata of the vertical profile of plant community in a given region represent different layers of habitat of different plant group. and it have four layer ate as follows:
1. First or top layer(stratum)
2. Second layer/co dominate layer.
3. Third layer/lower layer
4. Fourth layer /shrub layer.
