This lecture is presented by Ms. Apoorva Gupta, Asst. Professor of Biyani International Institute of Engineering And Technology. Hydro Power Plant uses kinetic energy of water to generate electricity, it is generally used as peak load power plant and its working time is generally of 4 to 8 hrs. These power plants are of reversible type means they work as generator when supplying the load and as motor during the night time duration or off peak hours.
